Well, when I proposed to my lady, I stayed up all night preparing things while she was asleep. I had a cake I had baked while she was gone that day, so I hid it in the top pantry. I put it all together and she didn't see it coming.

My wife told me that she was making bets with her work friends on when i was going to propose. Said the signs that she knew it was coming was because I asked her to come over and I surprised her with Chinese (I hid the ring in a fortune cookie), and she knew that I didn't care much for Chinese. Needless to say, my blunder is what tipped her off that I was about to propose.
