I'm an American I don't make fun of Canadians, I actually like them quite a bit. I never here people making fun of them in the last 3 states I've lived in, NY, CA & AZ

Too bad, that svcks :) I live just 45 min from the Mexican border, have several friends down there I see often, here in Az all I hear is way to much bashing of Mexicans by conservative, paranoid, narrow minded, white, racists neo nazi conservatives.....it's nauseating!

Then I met a gorgeous and sweet Canadian woman and moved up here. It's an terrific place.
I think some Americans who make fun of Canada are only joking and they actually like it. The ones who are being serious are simply ignorant.Like (2)

I think it's because the masses tend to be territorial. I live in Illinois, and you hear all sorts of jabs about people from Wisconsin here. When I lived in Ohio, West Virginia was the butt of those types of jokes.
