How come churches never wanted to help me out when i was dealing with surgeries?

like when i was having my hip surgeries, hardly saw anyone when i was in the hospital, never got calls when i went home or rarely, when i moved and had a knee surgery, noone from church even called me not even the lady in my building that i was going to church with, she didnt even bother stopping to see me, and she didnt have to go far, so why the noncaring attitude?

Mainstream religion is better at praying than actually helping.

Sad to hear it... may be they didn't want to give you any hassles cos you need to have good rest.. Hope you are getting well soon! :)

When I heard my next door neighbor (she was in mid 80's) was ill, she was in so much pain & she didn't want others see her in pain.. I can only remember her in my prayers.

I can hardly believe this happened to you! Why, that is disgraceful! You need to find a new church quick smart. I hope you are feeling better and making a good recovery. I will be facing a lot of surgery myself soon.

They just want your money and are the type to be all sweet to your face then when you really need help, they turn their backs on you. Because it would inconvenience them. Part of why I despise churches. They say prayers for you but beyond that they do nothing to help.

Did they know you were there? Federal regulations years ago changed to protect patient privacy. Unless you tell someone where you are and/or sign appropriate release of information forms, they won't know you are there and can't find you.
