Either they're fishing for more compliments ("Oh, stop it, you! No, go on, tell me more!") or they feel like they don't deserve it and that you're just lying to make them feel good.

jects so unless the compliment is about achievement, integrity, hard work or skill then they can shove it. pretty is not a talent Like (1)

are you looking at them up and down and leering when you compliment them....try looking them in the eye and telling them something sweet about them selves....and also, they have probably had a lot of bad experiences with men........like all of us have

Because so many women see them selves as flawed. Society makes women feel as if they are never good enough. So when they DO get a compliment, they think it's because someone is trying to "get with them" they don't see it as someone truly seeing them for who they really are.
