How did you feel when you found out you had Stockholm Syndrome?
it does not necessarily have to be kidnapping or hostage situation, it can definitely stem from a long term abusive relationship!! i hope more people understand that-

I do not know if you mean this to be a joke question, but I did have this and it still reeks havoc on my life. I felt relieved that I finally could explain everything that happened, but it didn't lesson the consequences. If there is a group for such people on here I will gladly join as I have not met anyone before who went through this.

I've never been kidnapped and held hostage. It's pretty rare. I feel for anyone that has.

my first thought was I have never been kidnapped so I wouldnt know, but how about being trapped in an abusive relationship? When the prison walls are all in my mind. Does that count?
