    The only way I found was to blank them out. At some point you have to accept its not going to happen and find someone new.

    Focus on their bad attributes and critique everything they do through that lens instead.

    Discouraged certain thoughts in myself. Didn't allow myself to sit around and pine. Thought of reasons why it wouldn't work. Avoided focusing on him or being around him...or around people who talked about him a lot. Kept busy. Waited..
    If a fire isn't fed, then eventually it will die down or go out.
