In times of trouble, Truth is the first victim. And now it's a political football: after a frustrating ten-year highly defensive game, Pakistan has the Truth on the ten-yard line in the US Red Zone with 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter. With a comfortable commanding lead, shall we let our sorely losing opponent make one final score? I say don't rub their face in it any longer than we have to - we already spiked the Truth in their end zone.

This says “this is how it’s Done and this has been your last clinic; rookie.” Even though Worf would say they fought without honor.

The US has been dysfunctional for a long time, and getting more and more paranoid.

I think the relationship is based on non trust. Each giving the other " long looks" . The US seems to be expecting untruths to be revealed. 2&2 isn't adding up to 4. Sadly, Pakistan leadership has been that way in the past.

about 30 billion a year in foreign aid is pretty solid ground to try to hold on to, from their perspective. the relationships are pretty disfunctional, but i that seems to be from bad leadership on their part.
of course they are hiding some truth, like the real nature of the strugle with India, but arem't we hiding some truth too, like our greedy desire to get to all their minerals and mine the **** out of them.

Playing a double game. Leaders don't want to get assassinated by bin Ladin's boys the way Benazir Bhutto did. They have also made a "devil's bargain" with the extremists: "Please don't hurt us, and we will leave you alone." At some point, Lucifer wants to lay claim to the soul....

Pakistan has always played both sides of the fence, but then they are in a potentially precarious situation geo-politically ( being bordered by Afghanistan and Iran to the west,India to the east). The U.S. and other western nations do,of course, take that into account, but ultimately we need their assistance when necessary, and they need ours.Questions about the circumstances of Bin Laden's concealment won't change that.

Why not ask a criminal how far and how outside of the box they have to live in to dissappear. When a house is that big and nothing else. What do you think? They were getting money from both parties the United States and Bin Ladin for protection. They were playing both sides and that proves that money is power and thieves will profit. The U.S. should request it's money back from those jerks.
