If he's blocked adding friends there's nothing you can do except sometimes I've been able to send them a message on his whiteboard (but not always). The only oither way I guess is to make a comment on one of their stories and ask to be added that way.
I don't understand why you have trouble posting stories. You have to find a group that interests you and just add your story - you don't have to join the group.
