How do I ask my thirteen year old bf for a pair of his boxers?

I am fourteen. We've been dating since April 24 of 2012. I think it's reasonable. We talk about er...private matters. So I don't see this as wrong. If he wanted a pair of my underwear he could have them. The question is how, to ask for them.

if you can't say, "hey can i have a pair of your boxers" then maybe you're not as close as you think you are.

I don't understand why... The lad is 13. He's barely started puberty for christs sake. If someone finds your underwear at his and his underwear at yours then that is an awkward situation.
