How do I becaome a Nascar Pit Crew Mechanic?
It's something I've just begun to take interest in. I like working with my hands and I like cars and excitement.
Then I ran across this profession. I have to research it some, but I was wondering if anyone could give me some personal pointers.
I'm still learning my cars and parts. (I don't know them by heart.)
However, I wan't to give this a try. I am super serious. I know there's not a lot of women in this. I don't care.

To get hooked up with Tony Stewart, he would have to be divorced soon, hardly any drivers are single from all the pit lizards chasing them down to their motor homes, lol so far it seems that Dale Jr, is single?

I think you could go to your local fire station for exercise (I know it has nothing to do with engineering). This will help you get in shape for the extreme task you'll be facing. I seen it on a show once. Some guy wanted to be a pit crew member. He didn't last very long.... As a pit crew member it doesn't matter just what you know, but how strong and fast you are. Building muscle memory is key."if you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball". You must be able to go back and fourth with huge race car tires. Practice practice practice

First step: Read the owners manual for a screwdriver.
Second step: Learn how to properly use your screwdriver - and practice.
Third step: Repeat first two steps but with pliers.
Fourth step: Start applying for jobs.Like (1)

Get into racing locally, get good at it and build a reputation, maybe you'll get lucky and meet the right people.

Another NASCAR buddy! I think you must major in auto engineering, and then go to a specialized institution in NC to work with NASCAR. Check their website.
