How do i forget someone that I am in love with, but who isnt in love with me?

This girl and i have gone on a very long road, from the moment i met her i knew i wanted her but so did everybody else. We shared our deepest secrets with one another, did things sexually that neither of us have done before, and shared feelings for one another. We had the most unbelievable experience for 7 months, both great and horrible. We fought, wouldnt talk for 3 weeks, and then made up. However, she was still looming over her ex boyfriend whom she was in love with months ago. Eventually, they got back together but broke up again. She and I started talking more than ever about being in a relationship and for a few days actually acted like we were in one. I left to hawaii for a week and when I came back she told me she just wasnt ready to be in a relationship for fear of being hurt again. I've learned that love isnt enough in life, and that timing sucks. In the mean time, I need to figure out how to move on because its been 3 weeks and all I can do is think about her....

If you really want to move on, stay away from her. I know that sounds harsh, but time is the only healer. It took me a year to get over the most intense love of my life. I was in love with him. He loved me as a friend. We couldn't be friends until I could get over being in love with him. Now when I see him, I can talk to him and enjoy his company without the pain.
I did finally find my life companion and I want to tell you that when it's right, it's right. It's easy and fun. Marry your best friend. My husband and I never fight. We may disagree sometimes, but we respect each other too much to actually fight about anything. I can tell him anything and he with me. I know he would die for me and I for him. It started out a little slow but trust grew fast and we've been together for 8 years now.
Hang in there and know that her not being in love with you is about her, not you. You are perfect just the way you are and when you find someone who loves you unconditionally, you will know real love. Out of 6 billion people out there, you will meet the right one for you. Sitting around only fuels your need and the pain that goes with it. Do something else to take you mind off it. Start a project. Take a holiday. Redecorate the place. Anything! But distract yourself with activity.

don't worry, time will heal your heart and I understand how you feel cuz I've been in this situation 4 months ago but now I'm over it, but somewhere still in my heart it still hurts thinking about my love.

Sometimes it helps to break ties for a little while. Just dont let her become something grater than she actually was, which can happen when our minds take over.

And get out and do some fun stuff. Stop regretting losing her, and start looking out for the great thing that is out there for you.

Stay busy. And wait out the pain. Time does heal. Cliches get that way because they're true. Here's another one: You've got to go through it to get to the other side.
