newspaper delivery; McDonalds,Wendys,Burger king;and cashier at a retail store until you get experience. You can use what you learn after you finish college or universtiy like customer service experience.

Are you in the U.S.A? What ever state you live in check out 'WIA' (Workforce Investment Act) it's a government program that will put you to work and they have an under 18 program for people your age.

my community has this job counseling centre
There are wage subsidies for summer job programs and what not
Go to your community job centers and see what resources they have

Make a resume, but not one that is really complicated. Just say you have experience with microsoft word, office, 65wpm, etc. and some things you were a part of in highschool (or groups for the community) write down yard work for neighbors or babysitting if you've done that give good references, when you walk in to a place ask politely if you can talk to the manager, "don't ask are you hiring?" because alot of places maybe are not but if your really cool with them and polite they might give you a call, alot of places have times when there doing interviews especially restuarants, and malls have the places that are hiring online good luck!

How do you get a job at any age these days? It's tough out there. Join the Army. You've got a couple years, but when you get there, they'll keep you busy.
