How do I get my husband to stop hiding his drinking from me?

He has chrones and he is already so sick, but he doesn't care. This will kill him if I can't stop him! We've been married almost 2 years and I didn't see him drunk until after we tied the knot. I feel like he did that on purpose.

I don't know how to yet, or I'd mark this resolved! Thank you for your advice everyone, very helpful and certainly made me feel better knowing I wasn't all alone when he was passed out drunk.

Most likely he hides it because he's ashamed. He doesn't want to be called out on it and if you do he'll most likely deny it. I don't know how to convince an alcoholic to get help, but I think that it's important for you to understand how he feels about himself (crappy) if you're going to confront him. Don't do it in anger, he is most likely well aware that he should stop and that it's making him sicker but not able to do it alone.

Things are good in our lives and he says he loves me so much, yet he has never given me a chance to help him. He always drinks secretly and though I can tell by his behavior, he only admits it when I find the bottle. U are right, he needs to do it on his own, but how do I deal with him in the meantime?
