I was told brain tissue takes 30 months to heal. I suffer from symptoms of migraine, ie eye pain, visual artifacts, audio artifacts etc. Although its been slightly over one year the neurologist states damage is most likely permanent. MRI ruled out any hard obstruction to blood flow to brain. Daily meds to help prevent symptoms and meds for when they do arrive. Neck collar when necessary etc. Hope this helps. The right neurologist can make a big difference. One willing to listen and not discount your symptoms, been there done that twice now on damage to brain and spine. Wish you the best. :-)

You may need to go get an MRI if you haven't already then Find out about medication for the headaches as for the rest I hate to say this honey but there may be no cure for the rest unless there are options I'm not sure of..

I am an RN and from personal experience with brain trama I have seen miracolous things happen to people who the doctor say never would heal from the damage..

Have you had any physical or occupational therapy? That may be a place to begin.....

I'm sorry this is happening to you.....If it were me, the way I'd get through it, is prayer....Prayer changes things.

It depends on how serious physically your injury was, and what you now have as a physical and mental condition. Some medications can help treat the most urgent conditions you got when that happened, but in most cases I don't think it would be a very good idea to use medications all your life to 'improve' your health.
You can use medicines if you see they improve your condition, but up to me it would be more wise if you do something to really build your mind again.
You can try some practices for relaxing your mind and body.
You need really feel you are very relaxed always.
And then you can use some books with tasks and problems for solving.
If nothing else is available - just solve as many tasks around as you can find, read school textbooks, and just keep your mind very well occupied always.
And the same is with the body too, of course - move your body, exercise as much as you can.
Just keep as busy as you can always, and one day you will overcome this.

I think some medical centers provide such services, but if this is not very serious, you can do such practices by yourself, achieving even better results many times.

Did you seek medical attention when the TV first fell on your head?

Go to your doctor. Now.
