You are only human. You cannot control what your mind thinks (or even how you feel). You can however control how you act on or react to them. Temptation is not a sin, it is not wrong to be tempted. Dont worry about things you have no control over....you'll drive yourself crazy.

In computer terms it is "Garbage in garbage out". What you put into your mind will reflect back. So if you want to think more Godly thoughts learn more about what God thinks. Memorize scriptures that pertain to the area you are struggling with. This does not mean you will not have these thoughts it just gives you something to fight back with. Decide what is your own personal standard and define it so no one can take it away from you. Try Phil. 4:8.

Thinking about sin isn't a sin. But since you're an adolescent who is probably going through some serious hormonal transitions I'll give you some pointers:

1. You're going to think about sex because it's built into you at this age to think about sex. God created you to be hormonal at this age because in Bible times you'd be an adult and most likely having babies. Don't be ashamed of it, it's only natural.

2. You will be over-emotional and over-react. This is why so many kids your age are "depressed". They feel things way harsher then others.

When I use to be there. I found that the more scripture I read the less I thought of other things. Spiritual music helps too.

I think everyone suffers from this to some degree. I personally try very hard to think of something happy and try to push bad thought away. It's not always easy, but try to distract your mind at that moment and trick it to think of something happy. Hope it helps!!

It is not your thoughts..sometimes, the devil put thoughts in our head ..and then we think it is us..cos he makes it sound like us. So when you get an evil thought, dont say it out..when you say it..and agree with the thought you have, then it becomes yours..till then, it is just a thought..not your thought.

We cant keep the birds flying above our head..but we can sure stop the birds building a nest on our head.

So..don't think too much on this..you are forgiven and right with God..so just ignore those thoughts..

What you think about is one thing but true moral fiber comes from the capacity to resist the temptations and thoughts you have. It isn't about avoidance it's about resistance think the thoughts but resist the act.

All thoughts, good and bad, are just thoughts. As long as they stay as thoughts. Everyone has bad and good thoughts. You are not alone. Now, whether or not you can stop them, I doubt it. Just understand that they are only thoughts. Try to figure out what prompted you to have the specific thought. Once you figure out what event made the thought, it will be easier for you to decide what you want to do with that thought. Good thoughts are always good and most likely easier to act on. But the bad thoughts have to be controlled and, I for one, wouldn't want you to do anything bad like hurting yourself. I will always be here if you ever need someone to talk to. REMEMBER THAT!!!

Our mind is nurtured with spiritual food.
If its food is human ideas, it cannot reach beyond the things human. Yes, we are right when we say: to err is human.
It needs the divine education to develop and to soar up to the highest summits of human accomplishments according to the Will and Guidance of God.
Divine education is not the training of the priests. It is the sacred verses revealed in the Holy Scriptures of the World Religions.

Thinking is ok. Doing is a different thing altogether.
We all think about crazy stuff.

You know the concept-when you try not to think about spiders, you see them everywhere, its the same thing. Accept a thought for what it is-rationalise it. Also its one thing to think something and another to act on it. The thought you are getting are possibly intrusive thoughts depending on how disturbed you are by thinking of them. Pick up a book or do some research on thought patterns etc, you may find the more you know about them, the less they will worry you.

Join a different cult. They'll brainwash you to the way YOU want to think and you won't have to worry about it. Shop around a little.
