You have no choice where you go. You go back to your creator when you die. Who created you depends on what race you are. There are only two races...all others are mixed with these two races.
Just simply live a good life. Be honest, caring, generous and patient. Aim to do good whenever and wherever possible. I cant remember who said it but someone famous once said something like "theres no harm in believing in god, the worse that can happen is there isnt one". Good luck on your journey.
So as a Christian for me the most important thing is my faith in Christs sacrifice. What I do in life doesn't determine my fate for eternity, but what I believe does! All men are sinners in God's eyes. Do I try to help others? Certainly. Do I go to church on Sundays? Usually. Am I selfish? Sometimes. Do I do things that dishonor my God? All the time! Does this make me a bad person? No! We are of weak flesh, and we let our desires win more than what God desires for us! I am for Gay rights. I have many firends who are gay. I drink. I smoke. I ********** and have premarital sex. I have stolen. I have lied. I have cheated. I have committed idolitry. I have done many thngs wrong, and will continue to do so in my life, I am only a man.
God loves us even though we reject him. He loved Hitler as much as Mother Theresa. Sin cannot remain in Gods presence though, that is why he sent his son Jesus to suffer and die for us. All it takes to enter his Kingdom is a faith in that sacrifice. We continue to improve in our sanctification process over our lifetimes, but to expect to be a perfect person is like trying to hit a three pointer when the basket is on the moon! It's impossible!
Remember that God loves us through the sin, with a love greater than our understanding of the word. Pray about that ask God to reveal himself to you. Check out Psalms. Many of Gods attributes are described in this book of the bible. Also 1 John, it is a short book of reassurance in the new testament. I wish you the best, and I will pray for God to reveal himself to you!
I am not a Catholic, but I don't dare to argue.
Just ask yourself simple questions such as 'Have the police warned me about anything bad I have done?', 'Am I polite and cheerful (well, maybe not cheerful)?' or perhaps 'Do I care about kindness and happiness to other?' regularly to keep you on the right track.
God forgives your sins if you are truly sorry. Hobbies like smoking or fishing is fine! He wants you to be care-free and enjoy your life on earth. He brings you up to Heaven, it's his decision!
Everyone knows if they are good or bad, YOU know what you are already. Heaven and Hell......no one knows for sure ....they can have faith in one religious teaching or another or none at all....this is something you must decide for yourself.
A stone will not go to hell.
A plant will not go to hell.
A bird will no go to hell.
Only bad people go to hell;
if a man knows nothing like other
creatures, he is also free from hell.
your better off down stairs anyhow. All the wild, wild parties are not upstairs.
Upstairs, if you can stand the boredom is for harp pla
Are you nice to people most of the time, try to do the right thing (not saying always succeeding and 'doing it' but trying to). No one on this earth is perfect...from the bible thumpers to the overly spiritual, to the atheist...no one is ever perfect. Just trying to do the right thing most of the time will get you towards being a good person. Plus the sidebar effect is that you feel good about yourself too, which makes you smile :} We all mess up here and there, no need to spend too much time thinking about it though...another day will come along and already what has been done is in the past...move to the present and continue on.
HELL NO!! Count yourself as one of the healthy in mind people. Honestly...it's true.
Are you saying that you don't know right from wrong? Good from bad? Mean from nice? Dark from light? Sure ya do
What you just described is someone I could be friends with. A person who believes but doesn not judge and hate. Balance. I think there are tons of believers out there who have rejected church but still practice their faith. I think you can do that in the shower. Stop doubting yourself and fearing damnation. I thought your god was all knowing, forgiving and loving?[ Reply ] [ Delete ]
YOU are a star. You think you are confused, In my opinion, you are on the right path. By the way, not "everyone" is a hateful, homophobic, racist. Only the folks who are afraid of anything or anyone who behaves, thinks, believes differently than they do. You should be proud to be the way you are.
If your asking this question chances are your a good person, bad people don't care, especially about heaven or hell.
