make it anonymous!!! You don't need to have a private setting if you are anonymous. Create a new profile using information from your old one and leaving out things that identify you, and make a list of everyone in your circle to add to the new profile. You'll need to do a lot of copy-pasting and list-making though. Needing to list all the experiences to rejoin, and copy-paste story or blog content you want to save. Make sure you are annonymous.
Here are the steps i follow to be anonymous: I:
do not give out first or last name
do not give out the city I live in
do not post photos that idenitfy me
do not give the names of people in real life I associate with, the company I work for, the names of local places I go to in my free time, the names of people I know or anyone in my family. I do not give out specific locations of other people I know or the places they go to either. The exception is being a customer at any chain restaraunt that can be anywhere in the U.S. and does not give away location. Once again I will not give out names in any way except when it comes to my pets, no not even first names. Once again, I never give the name of anything. If I was required to I would change the actual name.
Never give out my phone number or address of course, as common sense as not giving out bank info, passwords, or social security number
Don't say anything stupid you could go to jail for on experience project. The exception is drugs obviously, or things too long ago to be relevant, or minor offenses. But there are some things you want to avoid mentioning, because there are some words that are "keywords" that will make the authorities investigate you. I think everyone knows what the keywords to avoid saying in any capacity are--we have lost a portion of our free speech because a few bad apples spoiled the whole bunch and rebellion means the risk of jail time. I wouldn't recommend taking the risk if you are already worried.
If you are really paranoid, then already come up with evidence in your favor to use to defend yourself later if it comes to that.
I could've summarized everything I just said up as "don't be an idiot. be smart." But other people have said to me, "common sense is not as common as you think" so I felt it necessary to be specific although to me it is all obvious.

(did I not warn you of what would happen if you blew the whistle on us? Consider yourself suitably warned--this part of my message is private--only you can see it--I'm going to add my public message--whatever you do--don't comment on the answer or try to rat me out--GOT IT??)
Hey! Cheer-up and chill out. You must be feeling a bit paranoid right now. I promise you--no one's trying to report you or catch you slipping up--really.
Were all friends here--OK?
Take care of yourself!

Uuuuh, I can see it? Stop being a stalker, that's not what EP is for. It's supposed to be a safe site. For anyone who can't see it, here's what he said:
