How do I to put a stop to recurring nightmares?

I have been having a lot of nightmares lately. Mainly ones about earthquakes. it's screwing with my sleep so how do I stop it.

    See a sleep specialist or a therapist. Recurring nightmares may be linked to depression, anxiety, stress, PTSD, withdrawal, and traumatic experiences in your past. Nightmares are linked to suicide and depression. Many medicines also have side-effects of nightmares. Nightmares can also lead to sleep apnea and restless leg syndrome.

    Oh, okay. Well see about the other things. At least you can figure out what it is linked to. It may also be caused by sleep deprivation, I just remembered. Check out about the drugs and their side effects too if you are on any prescriptions.
