How do most people deal with long distance relationships? My husband is USMC, hes being deployed for the 3X?

Although I'm really new at this long distance thing (husband in the Army) I have found that whenever I start to wonder how its going to work I think about all the things that I love about him, like all the dorky things he's done (i.e dancing around with me in the kitchen when I cooked him dinner) and it reminds me that I have someone worth waiting for. Other than that I suggest you just do the best you can. Letters/e-mail/phone calls where you can barely hear each other because of all the static (gotta love the phones at Ft. Benning)......

Just remember that you love each other and as long as you fight for each other, neither of you will ever loose.

I, for one, support long distance relationships...
but then again, I'm an Army wife. Many people don't see the point of them.

When my boyfriend was in the army and was deployed, staying in touch definitely helped. Thank goodness we have internet and a few phone calls to help us keep in touch with our loved ones over seas. It also helped spending time with his family while he was gone. It is nice to spend time with people who are missing him too and understand how you feel. I also felt like I was closer to him by spending time with his family... if that makes sense. But the biggest thing was chatting online. I really looked forward to those times and it definitely helped. I wish you two the very best. Don't ever give up on your relationship because in the end you two would have shared something very important that a lot of relationships don't get the opportunity to share.
