How do Penguins communicate seriously lol...?

Was watching the film a few weeks back The March Of The Penguins, don't know if you've seen it?, but the whole reproduction and cycle of life for the emperor penguins is amazing, but very complicated, I want to know how did they know to do that whole sequence of events,passing baby from her tum to his,travelling back and forwards, does he take her to the side and have a chat about the situation? whats the score? Is it in his conscious and he cant explain he just knows what to do or what?

Natural instinct I say plus they make sounds/sing/'chat' amongst themselves. Seriously, they do lol.

I haven't seen march of the penguins, but I have seen a lot of David Attenborough docos and on his 'Ice Words' episode in Blue Planet it has a whole segment about Emperor Penguins. They're so cute too :P

Now you see, if you hadn't explained all that to me, I would have just presumed penguins rarely had reason to communicate seriously. I just assumed they were naturally silly. lol : ) But it is a great question.

The instinct thing and natural evolution maybe.

"Hey, John, why don't any of our eggs live, just freeze up and die? And why is Pete kicking his freakin'egg onto Janet's toes?!"...sort of thing.

Gotta admit though, penguins are just really cute. :-)
