How do people go from being clearly interested to clearly not? Better yet, how can you tell through emails?

ok, recently I made the cardinal sin of initiating communication with a girl on a dating site. Usually, I don't really dwell on this stuff, but this girl lived in my area and I really wanted to talk to her and I thought we had much in common, so I emailed her a short little email. She emailed me back a long email and seemed very interested in conversing with me and it was pretty obvious. So I went ahead and sent her a nice email. A week and a half went by and I got nothing from her. I happened to see she was logged into the site at one point, yet still hadnt responded. So, I decided to send her a very short email asking her if she ever received the first email. She emailed me back with a short little email about her week, but NOTHING concerning ANYTHING I had written to her or asked her in my prevouis email..It was alomst like a "pity" response although she did ask how I was doing. I'm thinking of just not responding as this girl has sent mixed signals and has left me quite baffled

She's not interested in you, for whatever reason. Most likely decided she was going to date one of her other correspondents.

alightinthedarkne ss	Posted Jun 8th, 2009 at 11:42PM maybe she figured that she wasn't quite ready yet for what you wanted and that she isn't ready to get serious, maybe she thought you were coming on too strong. If you sent a pic with that email, maybe you don't appeal to her and she is trying to be nice by letting you down easy. If she can't explain herself I would move on, also if you are a really caring sweet, considerate guy, then looks shouldn't matter; she is shallow, move on. Rated: +1Vote for this!

laceset	Posted Jun 9th, 2009 at 9:20AM This has happen to me one time. I was interested him. However, we chatted IM and he was in the local area. He seemed to be a great guy alot in common. I never met him "He would say I date girls all the time that have kids" For one Red Flag! why? Translation looking for a quick lay. I put a comment on my setting the mood that day about my son being sick. He didn't even ask if he was okay. so, I knew then he wasn't even caring or compassionate. It's really not that hard to tell what people are like b4 you meet them. Rated: +1Vote for this!
