we are not actually real in the human terms that we think of.
take colour for example, it does not exist, except in our minds, interpreting a certain wavelength as a particular colour. similarly with sounds, it is just how our brains interpret a particular wavelength. somehow our collective minds creates a meaning, one that we all more-or-less agree with.
under the inflence of drugs or if there is a psychiatric condition, then perceptions change.... who is to say that these are psychotic hallucinations and not just as real or constructed as everything else?
not sure if i have explained this very well... but i hope it helps.
the only thing i believe to be real, is our conscious awareness... the rest is just electrons, protons, neutrons, quarks.... and other electrical stuff given made up names by scientists. even now, my fingers are tapping away like it has some real meaning... and believing that i get messages back....and we laugh at psychics??? i believe it wil all make sense when we get to whatever is beyond... ;-) respect, from robbie
You've seen the matrix to many times...
pinch yourself... go ahead ... just one tiny pinch, I'll wait.
If you pinched yourself, then your a figment of an idiots imagination.
My mental inventions aren't that imaginative, fantastic idiotic notions or otherwise.
we only have empiracal evidence for the proof of reality. The human mind is near infinite in its capacity to imagine and perceive the unknown. Thats how mankind has become the overwhelming dominant animal on Earth. it, unfortunately, also brings about doubt of the very existence and verity of actuality. Life is as just as we see. A struggle and endlessly painful, but includes the simple joys all higher creatures share. The thoughtless pleasure of children safe and happy. The beauty of a warm evening when ones stomach is full and tomorrow promises more peace. The utter elation of looking at ones love knowing when they wake they think first of you. we are very real, but intensely complicated.
Why would it matter ?
none of us last forever....
The way humans carry on as a species, we may well blow the fuse ourselves.
