How do you break out of your shell? (comfort zone)
Long story short, I failed this week's teaching prac because I didn't talk and wasn't confident.
Now for the long explanation:
But I was given ONE more chance at teaching prac next week (at a different school)
I'm not a talkative type especially to people I don't know, I am given one week to get to know all the students and staff.
But I find it exhausting to greet/talk to every staff member I meet (and a few students).
(Does anyone here feel really tired when they are forced to meet and talk to a lot of people?)
My parent said that I'll feel really tired at first, but I'll get used to it.
I was told to be more confident, but I'm NOT "used" to feeling confident when it comes to socialization, it does not feel like me.
But I've been told that with any career (especially teaching) you have to have a "confident mask"
But how can I just put on my confidence on day 1. (the prac is only for 5 days, so there's no TIME to gradually open up to people. From day 1 I have to talk
