Deliberately thinking what you choose to think instead of allowing situations or circumstances to 'trigger' your thoughts. It's a matter of forming a habit. Thinking negatively IS a habit and you can replace it with positive thoughts until THAT way of thinking is your habit. This takes time and consistancy but it CAN be done. (btw, making a list of what makes you happy at a time when you are happy is important since thinking of something happy to think about is very hard when you're in the middle of feeling rotten -- just get out your happy thoughts list and start thinking of them instead) repeat EVERY TIME you catch yourself engaging in stinkin thinkin

you have to replace those thoughts, the best way to do that is to have new experiences, so go get ready then lay down those new memories. Good luck.
