Humor is good, tho sometimes I choose an answer that someone has gone the "extra mile" with, such as including a related personal experience or something. Or if someone seems truly appreciative of the question, & thanks me for posting it. I seldom allow BA's to go to vote, tho if there are a lot of responses, & many are good, I actually can't make up my mind sometimes, in which case I do allow the voting to take over!

I left choosing it, seems ridiculously unkind. In my opinion such option has to be removed ASAP.
Still if require to choose it would choose based on wit because here are some really needy people who require sincere advice and being chosen as best answer encourages those witty people. Like (2)

I read them to my dog and if she wakes up because I am laughing too loudly at an answer, that is the one I choose.
