I think..
"is it worth going to jail"
Because when I snap, I let it all out.

I don't, if they push me that far they are going to know it.

oh girl its very hard for me to snap at stupid people. Who are just rude and dont even know what they are saying. Just take some deep breaths and literally say to their face "I'm busy and don't want to deal with your problems."

I bit my lip, I remove myself from their presence to sit somewhere and I close my eyes making sure my spine is tall. I take a deep breath over the course of six seconds, hold it for six seconds, and let it go in ten. Do this for like two minutes to five, and you fill the urges dissipating. At least for me, it helps.

It's not my role in life to give people power over me, how I think or act, or my reaction to their behavior.

Put an automatic delay in your answers to people you know set you off.
Consider the ramifications of snapping at them.
Think about what set you off. Is that more important than the person you are snapping at?

I dont find it a problem 99% of the time, because I have always wanted to be pleasant rather than unpleasant to others.

I tell myself that they don't matter enough for me to lose a pint of blood which otherwise would be wasted by incessant boiling at the source of annoyance.

I don't. That's why I'm 52 and unattached and probably alone this Christmas.
