How do you deal with people who are mean to you at work? Your best tips for not letting that affect you?

Manager/Co-worker and in my case, it's HR. Unfortunately, I have to co-ordinate with HR on communicating hiring priorities (my boss has put me in charge of that)
The HR lady always tries to act superior/arrogant

It is vital that you remain cool and calm. Get in your head what you need to say, and speak to them the way you expect to be treated. You don't have to be smiley, smiley, but friendly. Try not to take anything said to you personally, after all you have been nice to them....if they are nasty don't let them see that you care. Good luck, let us know how it goes x

I would avoid being around them at all costs. As a rule, everyone is nice to me.

It depends on whether it's a manager, a coworker, or a customer.

If it's another employee I have taken them aside and told them they are getting on my nerves..if it comes up in management Itell them I don't know where that's coming from, it's worked for me. If it's a coustomer Ijust kill them with kindness.
