How do you feel about swearing in comedy

Personally i think it adds some kick to the punchline. But its sad so many people lose out on good comedy just because they don't like the swearing.

I have no problem with swearing, but if the joke isn't funny without swearing, why is it funny? I see popular comedians who swear too much and if you look at what people are laughing at, it really is just the swearing and not the joke.

I don't appreciate it...most use it too frequently and it becomes mind numbing.

Most of the vulgarities are unnecessary and yawn inducing. I agree that, when used in moderation, swearing can be humorous though.

I always find that the comic who uses clean material with no vulgar language is ALWAYS (at least for me) the funniest!

I cannot agree less ..I think it is used , it is and was vulger , crude and unclassy to overdo that kind of thing. I was poor, brought up in a barn , lets say , even then you can be born in class, so I say absolutly yes , leave it and file it with ****. It depends on if you like clean or dirty, do you like both dirty and still see the humor in Cowboy Comedy ? Both can be funny , if you know where to stop .
