I think it would take a lot of rats to make a coat and that would make them expensive. I also think there is more to owning a 'rat-coat' than meets the eye. I suspect something isn't right with the whole thing; I smell a rat. ;-)<br />

nothing wrong with wearing fur IF the whole animal is used. That is if the animal is used for food as well not just for the skin. If the animal is just bred for its coat IT IS WRONG.
You have just come across an urban legend that is not in any way true. A "rat coat" refers to a "muskrat" coat. In many areas of the U S the muskrat population MUST be controlled to protect levies, dams,<br />
fields for crops and timber. Muskrats are used for food and fur.
