You really can't. That decision has to come from him.

Don't worry about offending him, if he's doing cocaine and it has become an addiction, tell him! And if you don't tell him the truth, somebody else will. He might be angry at you, but if he has got an addiction: do you want an offended friend or a dead friend?

It's hard to be honest when you know a person won't take it well hun, but you've got to bite the bullet (so to speak)

Maybe offending him would be the best approach. I was in a similar situation when I was confronted by a close friend. He basically explained my behavior as he had seen it and told me that he was ashamed of me, and that I should be even more ashamed. It was the single thing that made me stop what I was doing.

Ok, so I guess, just expressing myself views on how I see him. He doesn't get crazy nor abusive when he's high. I just feel like, why must that be his choices of drug.

I admit that I am different than most people in the sense that I don't vet offended easily, and can take criticism objectively. My thinking is the direct and honest approach is always best.

Very true. I have brought it up several times, that if the drug dealer isn't cutting you lack on giving him the right amount of money then you should just quit, but, he agrees but doesn't stop. I at times want to walk away from him, but I can't. I don't enable him in doing the drugs, but I can only say but so much, to express to him, how it's affecting his life. It's to the point where he has chills at night, when we sleep. I have to hold him tight, to show him that everything is going to be okay. Idk what to do..

It would be worth risking offending him if he stops!

    1. You don't have to make him stop.
    2. You CAN make him stop, but YOU'll pay the price instead o' him.
    3. Why would he be offended? You're acting out of love.
    4. If he IS offended, either he'll regret it later or you'll be better off w/out him.
    5. You're so cute to worry about it in the first place.

If you want a dog to give up its bone, you need to give it a better (juicier) bone.

He won't stop unless he wants to. If he's not willing, he won't. You could try talking to him about it and sharing your feelings on it.
