Losing faith in the world is the natural outcome of those who seek knowledge, and why religions warn against people who value data above dogma. From there you are left with three choices. Stick your head in the sand, accept and recite the dogma and refuse to consider the data. Follow the truth into an endless abyss of meaninglessness and rootlessness. Look within for small and scattered grains of conviction, distilled through your own blood, sweat and tears rather than words on a page or the tellings of others, and nurture the belief that they are the things which should be important, true or not.
