How do you know someone is trustworthy?

I've been burned just recently thinking that I can trust/talk to this one person in my family only to learn recently that everything I have been telling her has been leaked out. How can I trust again and how do you know the person you trust is actually trustworthy?

Greg862	Posted Aug 15th, 2009 at 4:31PM Madness and Travelin said it best...u can't be sure until their trustworthiness is tested...and yes, a person who tends to gossip about others will be gossiping about you in different circles. I suppose you could give them a few test confidential facts. But it could take weeks, months or years before you might find out if they leaked anything...hence why you should evaluate who you trust very carefully. Rated: +2Vote for this!
hatemommy	Posted Aug 14th, 2009 at 10:37PM Trustworthy people almost have this warm look in their eye. You have to know them well first, to see what they are like. If you are still not so sure whether they are trustworthy or not, exchange one of your secrets for one of their secrets. If one leaks, then you get to leak theirs. Rated: +1Vote for this!
