Well, I'm 49 and the best way to feel good about your life is to accomplish things. Whether that be in your education, work or relationships. Its all about saying yes. You'll regret the things you didn't do more than the things you did. Relax and don't sweat the small stuff. Remember, too, its almost all small stuff. Make it a point to enjoy life and the people around you. You won't have them forever.

Dave, 62 and feel the same way, the only regrets are the times you didn't say yes to what was offered, chances not taken, and, I wish I would have gotten my education sooner.

A lots of suggestion, I would suggest think what yourself you wish to do up to your age of 50... Identify what you want and also keep in mind what you want will slightly change the older you get too. It is not like shooting at a given distance and the bullet go straight line. It;s more like you hold a bullet and walk with it, turn stop go back a bit and ok you finally pin it on the target. Also ask yourself each day if you have done something that was going in the right direction you wish to go. If you say no for 6-12 months then maybe time to do something about it.

    GOod luck

I was 19 back in 1967 and am about to turn 65,so I have some perspective here.Of course there are no guarantees in life, but if you try to accomplish all the things you want to,or need to,and keep your eye on the things that matter to you,the odds are good that you will look back with satisfaction in middle age.Your interests and goals will change over the years, sometimes so subtly you may not fully realise it's happening.Setbacks and regrets there will be,but of course, any life worth living is going to be like that.

Give of yourself without expectations. Tell the ones that mean the most to you, that you love them. Show the world who you are through the life that you live. Have no regrets.

Just say yes to any opportunities that come your way.
As someone here said, you regret more the stuff you could of done, not the stuff you did do.

remind yourself every day that your choices all have consequences. Do your best to make choices that will have consequences that will improve the quality of your life.. my own opinion is that the best way to do that is to choose to serve others instead of seeking personal pleasure.. but that's just a 50 year old's opinion.. enjoy the journey.

You can't make sure, but you can make choices today based on whether or not your decision will help or hurt you in regard to your long term goals.
