How do you move on from a relationship?
Posted 1 month ago
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker
Only one way - move on!
Not easy?
1. Do not dwell on the past.
2. Do not pick over the bones of what was said and whose fault it was.
3. Do not talk about it endlessly, look at old photos/letters etc.
4. Have a weep if you must, be kind to yourself but do not allow yourself to mope.
5. Accept that there is a beginning and ending to all things.
I talk from experience and know, without a shadow of a doubt, that the more tears you shed the harder it will be. In the end we make it difficult for ourselves.
So, take it one step at a time - always moving forwards never back and, pretty soon, you will discover that you have mastered the art of moving on!

It helped me to find worth in my self and say if it wasn't meant to be it won't be. You really have to see the good in yourself and say that it's okay you are alone now because anyone would be lucky to be with you.

Being six months out of my relationship with my ex of ten years, I can say safely, it still hurts. You just have to embrace the pain, and keep pushing. I guess...

It's a quote I've heard that worked a bit for me when I really thought about it.

If you are sad, then cry. After you cry, you still have to live life.

Moving on from a relationship takes time-allot of time-eventually we all do move on-you cry, you hurt, your treasure the memories-and realize-that's what life is about-giving yourself to someone-and knowing the risk involved-personally--I grew from mine-and am still growing

really is not easy at all. im trying to cope myself. i tell myself that i deserve better and keep telling myself that saying..."If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, its yours forever. If it doesn’t, then it was never meant to be.”

There's no magic formula, but try to be positive. Go out with friends, take up a new hobby, give yourself little treats. But don't expect instant results, these things take time and it's natural if you feel down for a while.

what helps is start doing things that make you happy and find a good friend go to the movies shopping and just have time for yourself and don't rush into anything new to quick give your time to heal from your hurt....find a good friend to talk to.

Hurl yourself headlong into grief, loss, longing, and sorrow. You'll feel better in no time.
