I THINK FOR ME IT DEPENDS CUSE IF ITS MY MOM IM NOT GONA SAY MUCH TO HER..ITS A HUMAN NORMAL REACTION TO DEFEND OURSELVES THOUGH WHEN SOMEONE HURTS US OR SAYS THE WRONG THINGS ABOUT US..IT HURTS EVEN MORE IF ITS TRUE BUT FOR ME IF I KNOW ITS NOT TRUE THEN IT DOESNT BOTHER ME..MEMBER SOME PPL SAY THINGS OUT OF ANGER TO JUST HURT US..LIKE "HEAT OF THE MOMENT"...SO ITS NOT ALWAYZ TRUE..BUT I DONT KNOW WHOEVER SAID WORDS DONT HURT LIED CUSE THEY SURE AS HELL DO! YOU CAN BREAK A PERSON OR YOU CAN BUILD THEM UP WITH YOUR WORDS! PPL SHOULD CHOSE MORE WISELY..MITE B THE LAST THING THEY SAY TO THAT PERSON..SOME PPL CANT HANDLE HURTFUL WORDS..IT REALLY DOES HURT THO...

Most people in my past I kind of try to confront about that stuff but they didn't care plus I really don't talk about it normally, never was the open type to share to much like that..... I just listen to music and try to relax an forget it.

After awhile, it's just another hurt piled on top of all the other hurts. What makes one hurt, more? All of it hurts. How am I supposed to react? Getting mad accomplishes nothing. Staying sad does nothing either. People want to be mean, that's just the way it is. I can't stop it. I'm not going to stand there and say, oh yeah, well, listen to what I have to say,. because people who say hurtful things are ONLY interested in saying hurtful things. They are not interested in how you feel, what you think, or how you actually conduct yourselves. It's wasted time and effort dealing with hurtful people.

It so depends on who it is and the relationship dynamics. My former gentlemen friend said something really disrespectful about a value I hold dearly.
I was stunned at first, went home, then did not answer his phone call that night. The next day I wrote him a letter apologized for not being able to talk about it right away.
He claimed he did not recall saying it,but,if he did ,sorry.
That was the beginning of the end.

I know you meant it to be funny..but I have found me,at least the ones I know ,are more sensitive . The most difficult thing to deal with is when I am not aware of what it is I did or said, and they will not tell me. If it is a romantic relationship, I think people should tell each other as soon as they are able to talk about it. Otherwise the relationship suffers, and it is confusing as to exactly why. I try to do this, and found it is very difficult for men to express when they are jealous, feeling insecure, ticked off when they feel their woman has disrespected them.

I'm a sensitive person, so I usually try to rationalize why they would do something like that, evaluate what I might have done to cause their disrespectful behavior and if I can't figure it out, I allow myself to realize that they're just douchebags that don't deserve my time.
