I truly believe that we are going to loose a lot of land mass, our weather systems are going to make sea levels rise, harsher extremes such as droughts, harder rains, stonger tornados, no cold snaps to kill of germs.

So in 100 years I see no global community - no web - NO EP :o( , no global trade, no big commerce and certainly no technology. Instead I see is living in knocked up homes (which are falling around our ears as Insurance companies don't exist anymore) no jobs, no money.

Fighting for small plots of land so we can try and grow enough food for ourselves, fighting over water. Fighting and dying.

Morbid I know, but this is what I think.

We're not eating meat that comes from vertebrates, that's for sure. I expect the first alternatives on market as soon as 2015 (the invention of it will be done in February '10) and an end to it in 2050 (that came from a minister of agriculture).

In 2109 we'll finally set foot on Mars I guess.

That and communism has made a come back and take over the world, installing peace, democracy and freedom to so many people, it'll be unpresidented in human history. It also made life on earth sustainable.

People will be surrounded by all sorts of technology gadgets but yet, they will be more isolated than ever before.

Yep Nessos is right. The Myans are never wrong are they Ness? But, on the slight chance they are wrong, I see less interpersonal realtionships and more wars and technology taking care of everything for us so we can be lazy and complain about being bored. Sorry I won't be around to see it.

I think there is pretty much no way of knowing. Could anyone have imagined the way life is today in 1909?

Technology is growing so quickly I think we'll end up like the future "civilization" in The Time Machine.

I see my children starving and disease running wild through our bodies, while in some secluded area deep in the mountains remains the greatest scientific achievements that we can never imagine being used, not for good... but for war and evil purposes.

I don't really have a clue. Imagine 100 years ago (1909) someone saying that most everyone would have their own personal means of transportation. Most of the world didn't have any decent roads back then.

Anyway, I think that there will be real mind-machine interaction. Our bodies will have electronics implanted/grown in them.
