Depends what you mean by world. If you mean planet Earth, it will be consumed and fried by an expanding sun some several billion years hence. If you mean the universe, by all predictions it has about 15 billion more years to run. If you mean the cultural world of Homo sapiens, we should go out anytime from a few years in the future to (if we're lucky) about a billion years when the planet becomes unlivable for life froms like us.
