How do you unspoil an 18 year old who thinks the world revolves around her without violence
My god daughter is 18 and her mom just had major surgery 9 days ago and she refuses to help her. I was there taking care of her and her comment was I don't have to do anything because Paige is doing it all. Then tonight Rachel had to vacuum 2 rooms in her house because she was told by ash that she was an inconvience and she was frustrated and didn't have to do it any way

take her to a homeless shelter. it's some sad stuff if it doesn't work then she's unrecoverable.

take her to the homeless shelter and leave her there, tell her she's not allowed to come home. she'll miss chores.

That sounds difficult especially since she is already grounded into that behavior. Ummm, try to expose her to another side of life but do it subtly so it doesn't seem like a punishment or that you're trying to get her to learn something.Lightchild has it right. Get her to be responsible for herself, enroll in a camp or let her socialise with people of different backgrounds who struggled a lot in life.
