I don't care what 'acceptable' in any country--this was a total stranger invading his space and acting weird--forcing himself on poor Will--he reacted instinctively.

I think Will Smith reacted exactly as I would have. The reporter was trying to get some type of reaction, and he got one.

To be honest I think Will did extremely well to restrain himself, the journo was being a pr*ck.. I'm fairly certain I'd have done more than just give him a light back hand cuff on the cheek.

I think the reporter was lucky to only get a small slap. Many would have flattened the guy.
