sorry, didnt read the how, haha
just keep working after a while you'll forget it is hurting and you can do most of what you could before , you can do this with some jobs. what do you have to work through?

oh I meant in the gym, not my job. I have a small left shoulder pain. maybe a small strained muscle or tendon...I think from deadlifting.

well, i guess you could stop/minimise that, since it is quite stressing on your whole arm/shoulder area, maybe try with lighter weights, or even swapping for another exersise.
