How does McCain qualify to be President, when he wasn't even born in the U.S.A.?

As I understood, to be President, one must be BORN in the USA - not just merely a US citizen.

He was born on a US military base, I believe in the Panama Canal zone. They are considered part of US.

Obama was born on August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Obama, Sr., a Kenyan of Nyang’oma Kogelo, Siaya District, Kenya, and Ann Dunham, an American from Wichita, Kansas. Both men are considered US Citizens and therefore can run for President of the USA. Rated: +2Vote for this!
