It's not an easy thing to get over; I guess, it takes time. You need to forgive the person, and yourself as well. you need to heal before you can finally start trusting that way again.

I am assuming that this is related to a relationship issue. After two failed marriages in which both ex's were fooling around I found it incredibly difficult to put my trust in anyone for many years. And even tho I'm married yet again there are times when I scrutinize every move she makes. Not so much that I can be declared possessive, and I want her to be herself... that's who I fell in love with, but I still carry that trust issue around like a chip on my shoulder.
I'ts not as evident now as it was when we first met, and I feel confident that in time it will hopefully fall away completely. But trust, to me, is no longer a given. It's like respect, one has to earn it. And just because you love someone does not mean you have to trust or even respect them... at least not until they've earned it. And it shouldn't be a chore.... tho love it's self is something two people have to work at to keep strong. That's where a lot of people get confused...

Remember that wherever you trust the person or not, this person will do what he wants no matter what. Thats why there is no other way than just to believe the person and trust his words but to be aware, just see things as they are.

I don't know if you "get over" them---what worked for me was realizing that I could trust myself to make the right decision, no matter what the situation.
My intuition never lies--if I feel good in my gut, it's right. If I feel uneasy, even a little, then it's not the right thing for me NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE ELSE SAYS. The challenge for me sometimes is getting quiet enough to listen to what I really feel about something. That takes practice. Good luck! :-)

You know what, trust doesnt exist. I dont trust anyone in my life because nobody is trustworthy.
How do you get over trust issues? You dont. I dont eventrust myself sometimes. Allyou can do i hope that people will make the right choices for themselves and others.

The only way I know of is if the other person proves themselves to be trustworthy. Once you lose my trust, it takes alot to earn it back. If your aren't trustworthy you aren't worth much. That is a real high priority on my list.
