I am terrified of getting old and no longer having my looks as a tool.

It's made my life better in a lot of ways. I've never really had a problem with the way I look, because it's always helped me see others for how they truly are. I don't have to pretend to care about people, I don't have to fake it and I can weed out the superficial close minded types, quite quickly.

When you're ugly like me, people will just shun you on that alone. People will tell you outright how ugly you are, or will make insensitive comments behind your back. A group of teenage girls, when I entered a fast food place a few months back, instantly made a comment how ugly I was and ran around the place like I was contagious. The other customers just sat through it. It was humiliating and made me want to drop my daughter off with a friend and then drive myself into the lake. It's people like this who prove to me that this world is so messed up and beyond repair. I had a woman who was no price either make a comment about my looks in the woman's restroom at a former job. Some lady with her told her, "don't hurt her feelings", but it was too late, my feelings were already hurt. And the boy in school who told me I was the homely-est girl he's ever seen, well, the hurt never went away there either. If I could just have met people in my life who saw more than just the outside, I'd think the world isn't half a bad place, but that never happens. I see people look at me with their pitiful faces like they pity me because of my ugliness. I really cannot wait to leave this world. The horror never ever stops. I guess I will never be beautiful to anyone ever.

Well... I'm not entirely certain of my looks.... nor do I think I've experienced enough of the world to be quite aware of how it affects my experience yet.

    We shall see.

I am fat so I get stereotyped as lazy, even though I am far from that.

A combination of positive & negative - some facilitation & some difficulty. Everything from flirtation to discrimination.

Your looks can open doors for you but it's your mind, honesty, personality and values that people come to respect and place the most value on after a while.
