How grateful would you be if another country helped saved yours from an invasion?
I saw Lybian people destroying graves of Australian soldiers who sacrificed their lives to help drive the Nazi's out of north Africa in WW2. Absoloutley no respect or gratitude. Maybe NATO should have not have helped them topple Ghidafi.

It depends on the context, to be honest. If they were good allies, they should share respect mutually. But then...some allies are only in it for themselves. It really does depend on why the country got involved, not what the end result was.

Having not been invaded for almost 1000yrs its unlikely it will happen. However our country is strewn with memorial to other nations to whom we are grateful for helping us stave off invasion. For all the faults britain honours that sacrifice and a nation that fails to has no claim to be called civilized or advanced.
