OMG... I met an amazing guy on a Friday night at "the club". We had amazing chemistry and he was so attractive.. when he called the following Sunday night and asked if I would like to meet him for drinks, I agreed and chose to meet at a martini place by my house for 8:00.

When my sister and brother-in-law caught wind of this they made me extremely nervous, saying that because I met him at a club he was only out for one thing and especially took into account that we were having our first date at night. They went on and on about how he could be a rapist or a serial killer, and the dangers I put myself in. It was too late to cancel and with being nervous about it being the first date and terrified that he could have been the monster they portrayed him to be I stupidly allowed them to come along on my first date with him.. not a wise decision!

When I showed up he was dressed nice and was a really normal guy - my regret started to sit in as I knew my brother-in-law and sister were going to show up at any minute. I started to prep him but before I could even think of the proper words they walked up to our table, introduced themselves and grabbed extra chairs to sit at our 2-person table. He looked at me in shock -- like, what the hell! I smiled at him and again started to explain, when the waitress came over and offered to move our "group" to a larger table. As we were moving, I started to apologize and began to make up an excuse as to why they were there and how we could still enjoy the evening (really hard to muster out to a person I only met once before).

As soon as we were all seated at a table for 4 my brother-in-law would not shut up! My "date" and I could barely get a word out to each other without getting cut off. My brother and sister asked about what his intentions with me were, where he lived, what he did for a living, if he lived alone or with his parents, what did he do for fun, what his goals in life were.. Questions I should have asked and learned on my own and with time.

Anyways as the dates ended my "date" walked me to my car (awkward). I was going to explain better without them there and apologize a lot, but when we got to my car he asked me for a second date... although he strongly emphasized a-l-o-n-e. I was completely shocked but was happy that he was being a good sport about it all.

Even though the night had a happy ending, It was the most embarrassing beginning to a relationship that I had or will ever experience again.

These kind of things frequently occur and it's probably more meaningful to study the reason behind them than to get too wrapped up in embarrassment.

Mothers frequently utilize subtle (and not-so-subtle) sexual innuendos to their daughter's bf/husbands in this manner out of mother-daughter rivalry. It is what it sounds like: your mother would very much like to fu(k him, or at least provide some form of diversion away from you. This is a recurring theme that is frequently seen in mother-daughter relationships and rarely goes away. Until the daughter goes away. Or just stays and continues the rivalry.

It's also rather amusing to see that the innuendo implies a relation of her own body to dead chicken parts.

I was on a date with my highschool sweetheart. We decided to go to my house for a snack as we were hungry and mom always had lots of good food in the fridge. Dad was sitting at the kitchen table playing solitaire as he did every evening . The second my boyfriend and I walked through the kitchen door, dad let out a rip roaring fart! He hadn't seen us come in. We stood there motionless for a second until we all burst out laughing.

My then boyfriend and I once took my half-deaf, loud-as-hell grandmother to the grocery store to do her weekly marketing. While we were standing at the checkout, she pulled a box of tampons out of my cart, looked at me incredulously, and LOUDLY inquired if the two of us were having sex now. "When did you start using these THINGS instead of maxi pads?!!! Does your MOTHER know about this!!??" I was sixteen. I have yet to fully recover.

My mother was an excellent seamstress and whenever we went clothes shopping she would compare the price of an article to what it would cost to make it herself. When she found that a price was particularly exorbitant she would exclaim-loudly-"Sh*t mother I can't dance" in her very thick French accent. It made me want to hide. I never found out where she picked this up.

once we were shopping with my mother for baby clothes. my husband, brother, and sister were there with us. we (my siblings and husband) were playing a game called "news flash". example: "NEWS FLASH: I hate you Munna." or "NEWS FLASH: This bassinet is too expensive." and for the first time ever my mother joined in. We were looking through some clothes and my brother and sister were going back and forth giving each other horrible news flashes. suddenly my mother piped in "NEWS FLASH!" and farted SO ******* LOUD that people 20 feet away heard her, turned to gawk and burst out laughing! she promptly disappeared into the clothes rack. needless to say we never let her live down her "NEWS FLASH".
