That is mandatory in any relationship otherwise you are just settleing and settleing won'tget it.

Technically? It never should be, but life is a complicated affair, and so this becomes complicated.
For some it's everything whilst for others it's nothing ... ther are yet others where it may not be everything but it's *more* than nothing and so it becomes 'important'. The shallow vanity of the one (in many cases) becomes the shallow vanity of the two; these can be the least successful of partnerships in the long-run. Two vain people look for appearance as an important factor; take a look at the celebrities; that should tell you something :)
If a person in the relationship has certain physical needs and desires, then it can be very important. Sex drive differs from person to person, and it seems to me that people need to be compatible in that area as much as they would need to in any other. Some people can be satisfied by simply having a good person as a companion and sharing certain beliefs and interests. Some people have different priorities because people have different drives.

Absolutely!!! People need to be compatible with one another if they are to be together for a while. Relationships take a great deal of work, &, this means that care and attention needs to be taken in order to preserve the 'connection.'

I agree with bampow, but after a while, if you connect with the your partner, physical attraction means nothing. My friends Dad once told me that the key knowing if you want to spend the rest of your life with someone is just after you have had se x with them. If you can say yes, then it's probably gonna work.
