    I don't see any irony at all. It's not "United States" in Mexico anyway. It's Estados Unidos Mexicanos. The United States of Mexico. Has nothing to do with USA. It was named such because they wanted to show they were a democracy after liberation from Spain.

    The irony is more about how FOX news turned it into some anti-american statement.

    I think they have been doing that for more than a hundred years. Their Constitution does not allow for foreign ownership of Mexican companies to excede 49%. I suppose if they still consider the entire western USA to be their's -- and it was until 1848 -- then they have an even bigger beef.
