Someone once told me. "There are jobs everywhere, people just don't look in the right places." I'm sure there are places that will hire 16+ even without a diploma if you know how to work a register, to start. Then you have a chance. Otherwise I'd just sell stuff if video games is that much of a vice for you.

Yeah, I play them too, but thinking about getting a job just to make enough money to buy video games, simply put, it is stupid.

There are plenty of jobs... you just have to be willing to take them - with no experience and no education, you have to take the low pay and crappy work conditions most times.

People whine all the time about "no jobs" being available, yet I see signs for "help wanted" EVERYWHERE!!! My kid, at 15 years old - got the first job she applied for at 9$ an hour. She works retail, apparently they couldn't find anyone to even apply there.

My husband, same thing - decided to change companies and got the first job he applied for.... just a high school diploma, same occupation but better pay and benefits. The company still needs more help, but nobody is applying because it's construction related.

People are lazy - they want lots of pay but don't want to have to actually work for it.

Look for people with Junked up yards, and offer to clean them up, cheap... all the trash goes in their trash... but haul off all the metal... and bring it to recycling..... Bottles and cans to redemption.... Some things to keep an eye out for.... old swingsets... above ground pools without water in them..... There is always something....

Try joining Occupy Wall Street and fight for your right to earn a decent living and not be gouged by companies like EA.

The world doesn't owe you a living. Or a supply of video games.
Get your lazy arse out there, get an education and get a job. Then you may be able to buy video games.

seems like someone is buying them considering disc sales were at 17 billion last year. i say disc since that figure does not count downloads or subscriptions.

We used to have this dilemma with how to get your driving licence without a job when no one wanted to hire anyone without a licence.

If you don't have a high school diploma, your job should be to get one. There are jobs out there, just people are too picky and don't want to work those jobs. A saying from my youth was, "Beggars can't be chosers."
