How is it working for United States Postal service?

I used to do data entry for the USPS. The hours were long. Couldn't go home until EVERY last piece of mail was encoded. That and you had to worry if the guy next to you was about to "go postal".

Not that great. Worked at a REC, non-stop typing and no talking allowed. You wouldn't believe the pieces of mail that we had to analyze. Hello, fill in the name and address...not the corner of such and such. The letters to Santa made it worthwhile though:)

It's like most large companies alot of politics. I tried three different times, and learned many different positions that I could do very easily and efficentinly. And because they wanted to try an emplementa new 5 key hit system, I was forced to test and got to the last board of the last test. I had three day's or 3 hours an hour each day to complete it. I couldn't ge the the speed and accuracy at the same time. I was released and 6 weeks later they dropped it. and never went back to it again. I knew plenty of jobs there, and because I couldn't do one time on a test that they disregarded. I lost a career position at he U.S. postal service.
