Are you serious ? He's pretty well known for being an excellent speaker---direct and candid without being dogmatic. If you can't appreciatic his oratorical style, go to Youtube and pull up some of Dubya's speeches.

You must be listening to drunks. No professional speaker repeats themselves, uses filler words like, "and so":, "you know", "and a". As a PAID professional speaker who trains people to become public speakers, I KNOW what bad is. Every member of my Toastmasters International club are overwhelmed at how poor a speaker he is. When you are the President of the most powerful country on this planet you should speak PROPER English. He does NOT. If you haven't notice then you must not know proper English either. Obama needs to go back to grade school and try again. He only speaks well when rreading off the teleprompter. Listen at how poorly he speeks when he is asked questions. Listen and you will learn. Then you can improve your own communication skills. Take it from a PRORESSIONAL, Obama is a disgrace to to everyone whose native tongue is English.

I've heard worse - and better. These days public speaking is carefully modulated to seem palatable on tv. I regret that because I was lucky enough to see some UK veteran politicians addressing real public meetings complete with hecklers and awkward questions and working open-air rallies of thousands of people. Some of the old guys were true masters of the art and it was a great way of seeing what they were made of. Today's folk just seem like 'suits' by comparison. Obama has a kind of managerial authority but I can't see him as really inspiring.

Obama only speaks well - doesn't use filler words or repeat words, when he is reading off a teleprompter. Listen to him in a questioin and answer segment. He is AWFUL. Become a professional speaker like I am before you defend a poor speaker like Obama.

Bottom line is we elected him to LEAD not just SPEAK. Reagan was a great SPEAKER but he took orders from the republican party he advanced no real policies of his own.
Obama has had more people rooting against him then any president in history. Likely due to either latent or overt racism and ignorance plain and simple.
I plan to vote for the guy in 2012. At least he is FOR something not just against everything like the bible thumping douchebags that have hijacked the republican party.Like (1)
